Aogami #2 (Blue Steel No.2)

Blue Steel No.2 (also known as Aogami 2), produced by Hitachi Metals, is a refined carbon steel made by adding small amounts of chromium and tungsten to White Steel No.2.

These elements increase the steel’s toughness and create hard carbides that significantly improve edge retention.

While it maintains similar sharpness to White Steel No.2, many users favor Blue Steel No.2 for its slightly superior durability and longer-lasting performance.
